My ipod nano 2nd isn't working because..?

of (im guessing) my new docking station. you have to push it in kind of harshly to get it to work, but you dont totally kill it! it is a jensen brand ipod docking station! when i wanted to listen to stronger by kanye west but the picture showed the PCD album and it was frozen, it wouldnt play any music! im scared! it was a christmas present from my uncle, there is no way my parents are going to get me one, they didnt agree in the first time, they wont noW! HELP ME PEEPS!
