As a Christian, how would you explain this quote?

You won't get satisfactory answers. The 'god' thing is about emotion, not reason. Some will tell you they 'love' 'god', but when you start asking them hard questions about the nature of 'god' they start describing a 'god' not found in their 'bible'.
