Why doesn't 0bama ask Congress to repeal The Patriot Act?

Why would ANY politician want to lessen their power over the people? Thats the whole reason why the Patriot Act should never have ped in the first place.... because no politician will repeal it. Its only a matter of time before a REALLY corrupt politician becomes president and starts to systematically strip all of our freedoms. Remember, power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. And the Patriot Act is the very tool that will be used to legalize the destruction of our rights..... so thank the idiot Neo-cons for giving birth the very destruction of the U.S.
