Do you find frozen potato wedges are practically useless for holding doors open, as they soon go squishy?

If you superglue them to the underside of the toilet seat, they stop the seat from banging when it falls down. I wouldn't dream of using them as a door wedge - that is total abuse of good potato wedges and soon to be outlawed in Parliament. You heard the news here folks!!
